The bakkie that helped build the nation – the new FordBantam Ad Campaign
If you’ve been watching TV during the last month, chances are you will have seen the new Ford Bantam campaign. After telling viewers “Boet, you need a Bantam”, Ford is now reminding South Africans that the Bantam is the bakkie that helps build the nation. After all, the Ford Bantam is as South African as Mrs Balls Chutney and will celebrate its 25th anniversary in 2008.
This time, the campaign focuses on the versatility of the Bantam – from filling it with building material to taking it into the great outdoors. South Africans have loved the Bantam ever since it was introduced because of its toughness and reliability. As the workhorse for so many of the small businesses that are the lifeblood of our economy, the Ford Bantam really does contribute to creating the jobs and wealth that South Africa needs to be successful. On that point, remember to look out for an ad, also forming part of the campaign that features one of those small businesses.
The TV campaign is complemented by print ads that feature ingenious South African motifs. To download some truly fun wallpapers, Click here for more.
