Touring Ford's South African Plants

Plant tours are conducted to provide stakeholders the opportunity to witness the heartbeat of our organisation.

The Silverton Assembly Plant and Struandale Engine Plant will host plant tours twice a week. The plant tour will take approximately 2 hours.

Plant tours are conducted to provide stakeholders the opportunity to witness the heartbeat of our organisation.

The Silverton Assembly Plant and Struandale Engine Plant will host plant tours twice a week. The plant tour will take approximately 2 hours.

    Information and Guidelines.

    Date of Tour: Due to demand, it is not always possible to arrange a tour on the day of your first choice.

    Number of People: The maximum number of people that can go on a tour is 24.

    Photographs/Mobile Phones: Filming, taking photographs and the use of mobile phones are not permitted in plants.

    Smoking/Drinking: Smoking is not permitted in the plants. Alcoholic beverages are not allowed on the premises.

    Appropriate Shoes: Safety shoes or fully enclosed, leather flat shoes must be worn. Persons with sandals or any high-heeled shoes will be not be allowed on the tour.

    Children: The minimum age to participate in plant tours is thirteen (13) years. Children from 13 – 16 must be accompanied by an adult.

    Pets: Pets are not allowed.

    Wheel Chair Access: Both plants are equipped with wheel chair access and ease of mobility.

    Toilets: There are no handicap accessible toilets at the entrance and exit of the tour routes.

    Parking: Please enter through Gate 1.

    Late Arrival: Visitors that arrive 30 minutes later than the specified time will not be allowed onto the premises.

    Please wear long sleeve shirts/tops; long pants/skirts that will cover the legs
