TOWING ADVISORY

 

The towing capacity is the maximum trailer mass that the vehicle has been designed to tow. However  the combined mass of the vehicle and trailer should never exceed the Gross Combination Mass (GCM) of the vehicle. 

Definitions: 

Kerb mass refers to the mass of the vehicle with standard specification, a full tank of fuel and all necessary consumables but no passengers or cargo. 

Gross Vehicle Mass (GVM) is the maximum allowable mass of the vehicle when fully loaded with passengers and cargo (i.e. kerb mass plus passengers and cargo) 

Gross Combination Mass (GCM) is the maximum allowable mass of the vehicle and trailer combined (i.e. GVM plus trailer mass)
