How can I turn the FordPass Connect modem off?
FordPass Enable or Disable Customer Connectivity Settings
To enable or disable your Customer Connectivity Settings:
- Start your vehicle and remain parked.
- Tap the Settings icon on your SYNC® 3 screen.
- Select FordPass Connect.
- Tap Connectivity Settings.
- Edit your settings respectively for the following options:
- Vehicle connectivity
- Note: If you no longer wish to access any connected services, you can de-activate your FordPass Connect modem by disabling this menu option.
- Location
- Veh.data & remote crtl
- Note: Toggle to the left or right to enable and or disable respectively.
- Blue - means that the selection is Enabled.
- Grey - means that the selection is Disabled.
- Note: Toggle to the left or right to enable and or disable respectively.
- Vehicle connectivity
If your connectivity settings are disabled, the Vehicle Details page will show a banner message advising you to enable the settings. Use the following steps to enable your Customer Connectivity Settings again:
- Navigate to the Vehicle landing page.
- Select the orange banner that indicates Please enable in-vehicle Connectivity Settings to access this feature.
- Start your vehicle and remain parked.
- Tap the Settings icon on your SYNC® 3 screen.
- Select FordPass Connect.
- Tap Connectivity Settings.
- Edit your settings respectively.
- Press the Try connecting again option if it appears in the app.
- Close FordPass™ and re-launch the app
- You should now have normal functionality.
