How do i remote start my vehicle using FordPass®**?
Important:
- FordPass Remote Commands are not a substitute for not having your key fob on hand.
- Your vehicle still requires the presence of a key to put it in gear to drive.
- You should not leave your key fob at home or inside your vehicle.
Note: This is not a standard feature for all vehicles and the following pre-conditions must be met:
- Your vehicle must be added to FordPass.
- Your vehicle must have the FordPass Connect embedded modem.
- Your modem must be activated.
To remote start your vehicle:
- Open the FordPass App.
- Navigate to the Home landing page.
- Press and hold the Start button.
Notes:
- An alert will be displayed once your vehicle has started successfully.
- The alert banner displays for 10 seconds.
- When the Remote Start command is activated (and the cabin doors are closed), the alarm system is active but in a reduced guard mode to avoid false alarms.
- The perimeter alarm remains fully active, however vehicles capable of double locking*** will revert to single stage central locking.
- Should a cabin door be ajar when Remote Start is activated, the vehicle will attempt the locking cycle (confirmation of single stage locking), and the Remote Start function will still operate successfully.
- For safety precautions, FordPass will only successfully remote start your vehicle twice. On the third attempt, you will receive an error message requiring you to start your vehicle manually.
