Can I Service my Vehicle Abroad?
- All customers have the ability to have their vehicles serviced and repaired by any Independent Service Provider (ISP) of their choice other than a Ford Authorized Dealer or a Ford Certified National Body Shop in accordance with Ford’s recommended terms and conditions as stated in the Service Portfolio.
- Ford will not be liable for payment for any work undertaken by any person and/or workshop other than a Ford Authorized Dealer or a Ford Certified National Body Shop (Reimbursement via an Authorized Dealer for Warranty repairs).
- Confirmation of maintenance and service must be entered in the Service Portfolio provided to the customer at the time of purchase or a suitable alternative record keeper even when services are conducted by any ISP.
- Original records, documentation and invoices for any maintenance or repairs must be retained in order to support any warranty claim when required.
- Service, maintenance and repairs conducted by any ISP other than a Ford Authorized Dealer or a Ford Certified National Body Shop will not result in an automatic cancelation of the warranty, except to the extent that there is consequential damage arising from such work, which will result in a warranty claim rejection and possible cancelation of the relevant portion of the warranty. However, other portions of the Warranty may remain intact. Ford may conduct an assessment, at its own cost, to ascertain such damage and liability.
- All repairs must be undertaken by a Ford Authorized Dealer or a Ford Certified National Body Shop in order to maintain warranty coverages on the respective repair for vehicles that is still within the New Vehicle Limited Warranty (NVLW) coverages.
