WEAR AND TEAR
GET THE DETAILS

We do not expect you to return your vehicle to us at the end of your Ford Options agreement in pristine showroom condition. However, we do expect you to take reasonable care of your vehicle and to comply with our Wear and Tear Guidelines.

What is considered Fair Wear and Tear?

The chart below provides a few examples of what we consider to be Fair Wear and Tear and Excess Wear and Tear. However, you should read the Wear and Tear Guide provided with your finance agreement for specific details, including:

  • Broken or missing parts
  • Inadequate or poor quality repairs
  • Mechanical or electrical malfunctions

If you return your vehicle to us at the end of your Ford Options agreement we will appoint an inspector to assess the condition and mileage of your vehicle. So long as your vehicle complies with our Wear and Tear Guidelines and does not exceed the agreed mileage (see below) you will have nothing further to pay. If your vehicle does not meet our Wear and Tear Guidelines and exceeds the agreed mileage then you will be responsible for additional charges.
