What is the warranty on parts?

Ford Motor Company will repair or replace any properly installed new Ford or Ford re-manufactured part or accessory found to be defective in factory supplied material or workmanship during the service parts or accessory warranty or the remaining portion of the Ford Express New Vehicle Warranty depending on when your part or accessory was fitted.

Parts installed or sold by dealerships, or authorised distributors, to retail and wholesale customers qualify for the following warranty coverage:

Dealer-Installed (prior to or during the New Vehicle Warranty)

  • Parts and labour to replace defective parts fitted during the Ford New Vehicle Warranty period, that is a Warranty repair, will be covered for the remainder of the Ford New Vehicle Warranty.
  • Parts and labour to replace defective parts/accessories that are fitted by a dealership and are paid for by the owner/third party will be covered under the Service Part Warranty of 12 months or 20,000km whichever occurs first.
  • Warranty begins from the date of installation, as noted in the vehicle owner repair order.

Dealer-Installed (following expiry of the New Vehicle Warranty)

  • Parts and labour to replace defective part within 12 months/20,000 kilometers (whichever occurs first).
  • Warranty begins from the date of installation, as noted in the vehicle owner repair order.

Sold Over-the-Counter

  • Part warranty is 6 months/10,000 kilometers (whichever occurs first) of which electrical components are not covered.
  • Labour is not reimbursable.
  • Warranty begins on the date the part was purchased.

Note: If a part or accessory is replaced under Parts or Accessory Warranty, the Parts and Accessory warranty period will start again from the most recent fitment date and odometer reading.

You are entitled to choose a refund or replacement for failures of parts sold.
