What Safety Items are Covered by Warranty?

Safety related parts, which are defective, must always be replaced with new components and never repaired.

Safety Related Parts include:

  • Seatbelts

  • Airbags

  • Braking system

These items are covered by the Ford New Vehicle Warranty within the warranty period against defects. Please refer to your Customer Assistance Service and Warranty Guide for further information.

IMPORTANT: If alleged that a safety related part has failed, which potentially placed people or property at risk of injury or damage, or renders the vehicle illegal, the vehicle must be left undisturbed and protected from the elements. Contact must immediately be made with the Ford CRC (Contact Customer Resolution Centre) for advice on what action should be taken.
