Buttons on the steering wheel and navigation on the dashboard

The Ford Territory is equipped with a 12-inch digital dashboard screen on all models. All three display versions have steering wheel buttons that allow you to access key vehicle features, including Cruise Control, Radio, making calls, and adjusting the digital dashboard display, making it easier for the driver to manage the functions while ensuring safe driving.


The display interface on the Ford Territory dashboard will switch between 2 styles (Classic and Sport) in accordance with the interface settings or drive mode.


Following are instructions for customizing the display modes on the 12-inch digital dashboard version.

  • To view vehicle-related information or navigate on the dashboard, use the buttons to the right of the steering wheel.
  • The buttons on the left of the steering wheel are used to adjust the features driver assistance technology features including Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) and Lane Departure Warning (LDW)*.
  • There is also a custom command button (Star), which allows you to set quick access functions.

In the default situation, use the flicking switch, Press to mute/unmute the sound (the crossed speaker icon), move up, down to increase or decrease the volume, switch back and forth to switch Media content.


Select the two-menu icon button on the left to switch the key cluster function from audio control to dashboard display control. In the dashboard display control mode:

  • Press the 'Forward' or 'Back' icon button to open and navigate between the main categories, including Driving information - Vehicle status - ADAS - Phone - Multimedia - Settings.
  • To navigate the items in each Menu, you can use the switch with 3 operations: swipe up/down to move to the items and press to select the category or feature that needs changing.
  • Example: In the Driving Information category, swipe up and down to display Tyre Information (Pressure), Odometer 1-2, System start/stop status, Forward/back button to switch to other Menus like Vehicle Status, ADAS, Phone, Multimedia, or Settings.

The on/off switch of the Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) system on the left of the steering wheel:

  • Push down to activate Adaptive Cruise Control in standby mode (the white adaptive accelerator icon is displayed on the dashboard).
  • Swipe down (SET) to activate the adaptive accelerator function (the adaptive accelerator icon turns green).
  • Move up (RES) to restore the automatic accelerator mode when the system is in a state of temporary cancellation (brake pedal action).
  • This switch is also used to increase or decrease the speed of the cruise control system: push up/down once to increase or decrease the speed by 1 km/h or hold up/down to increase or decrease the speed by 10 km/h.
  • Note: When ACC is on, intervention with the accelerator will cause the system to temporarily give control to the driver without being canceled (the icon keeps green). Intervention by the brake pedal, the system temporarily cancels in standby mode (the icon turns white) and only resumes operation when the reset button (RES) is pressed.
  • The steering wheel icon button between two lanes: Activates the Lane Departure Warning (LDW) function. The system can recognize lane markers including broken lines and solid lines, give warnings, and assist the driver in keeping lanes when the vehicle has an unsafe lane change or overtaking (No turn signal). The LDW system and warning signs include a colored light lane icon, audio signal, and steering wheel vibration, and can be customized in the Vehicle Safety category in the Vehicle Settings menu.
    - Note: The Lane Departure Warning (LDW) system only operates from a minimum speed of 60km/h.
  • The horizontal bar icon button below is used to change the distance from the vehicle in front while using the adaptive automatic accelerator function, helping the driver adjust the safe following distance in accordance with actual driving conditions.
  • There is also a custom command button (Star icon) that is used to customize quick access commands, for example, to quickly open the drive mode selection menu.
