1. Entry Requirements
This competition is open to friends and family members of Ford Trailseeker Participants who are 18 years of age or older and legal residents of the Republic of South Africa.
To enter, Participants must:
The competition will start on 5 January 2026 and close on 16 January 2026 at midnight. Winners will be announced on 22 January 2026.
There are no entry fees required to participate in the competition.
The prize is two (2) participation slots (one (1) per winner) in the Trailseeker Series MTB event. The winners will be selected by a random drawing from all eligible entries that have fully complied with the specified entry terms and conditions.
The ticket only grants the winner access to the race category of their choice.
The competition will run on Facebook and Instagram.
2. Eligibility
To enter the competition, you must be a resident of South Africa and be at least eighteen (18) years old.
The competition is open to individual persons. One entry per person.
Cycling clubs are at liberty to enter, provided the entry is submitted by an authorised individual (one entry per person applies).
Employees of Ford Motor Company of Southern Africa (Manufacturing) (Pty) Ltd (FMCSA) its affiliates, partners, agents, and representatives, as well as their immediate family members and dependants, are not permitted to enter the competition.
Participants must comply with the official Trailseeker Series MTB entry requirements applicable to their chosen category. A rider’s age is determined to be the age he/she would be on 31 December of that year.
3. Prizes
Each winner will win one (1) ticket to enter any of the race categories.
The tickets are only applicable for the Ford Trailseeker Banhoek Race taking place on the 31 January 2026
The prize excludes getting the winner to the event location.
The prize winner is solely responsible for all the activities involved with travel to and from the race as well as being at the race (accommodation, transport, flights, petrol, food etc.)
4. Winner Selection
Winners of the tickets will be selected based on the outcome of a randomiser app. Selection of the winners will take place on the 19 January 2026.
5. Redemption of Prizes
The selected winners will be notified by social media, with a message via their inbox and a comment under their comment in the competition post. The winners must respond and claim their prize within thirty-six (36) hours of notification. Failure to respond within this timeframe will result in forfeiture of the prize, and an alternate winner will be selected.
Entry codes will be valid to be redeemed until and including 31 January 2026.
Prizes cannot be exchanged for cash, credit, or alternative items. Prizes are awarded "as is" with no warranty or guarantee, either express or implied, by Ford Trailseeker or FMCSA.
The customer will receive the code for purchasing their ticket for their preferred race category.
By acceptance to enter the competition, FMCSA and/or their affiliates may request the winners to take and/or use their photographs to promote the competition on its digital, social and/or owned channels, without remuneration being made payable to the winners. Winners have the right to object to these images being used by notification to FMCSA. Winners further have the right to remain anonymous.
Entry codes cannot be redeemed retrospectively, i.e., to obtain a refund for funds already spent on Trailseeker Series MTB entries.
6. Intellectual Property
FMCSA will retain all intellectual property and/or copyright rights in any entries submitted to the competition.
For clarity: this includes any content submitted as part of participation in the competition, including comments posted on the competition post (where applicable).
7. Liability
By participating in this competition, FMCSA, Trailseeker SA and its affiliates, partners, employees, agents, and representatives, will be held harmless from any liability for any injuries, losses, or damages arising from the competition.
Participation in this competition constitutes acceptance of the competition rules and entrants agree to abide by these rules.
8. Privacy
All personal information supplied by entrants shall be processed in accordance with South African data protection legislation and FMCSA's Privacy Policy.
The information you have provided will be collected and processed by Ford Trailseeker in accordance with their Privacy Policy and Terms of Use (available at https://trailseeker.co.za/) and may be shared with FMCSA.
By participating in the competition, the Participant consents to Ford Trailseeker and FMCSA using their submitted information for event management, communication purposes, and to improve user experience. Participants consent to receive communications related to Ford Trailseeker events & services, which they can opt out of at any time by following the unsubscribe instructions in such communications or by contacting Ford Trailseeker directly.
9. Termination
FMCSA reserves the right to cancel, terminate, modify, or suspend the competition at any time and for any reasons determined by FMCSA in its sole discretion.
FMCSA also reserves the right to terminate the competition at any time and for any reason. In such cases, FMCSA will announce the termination through appropriate channels and may, at its sole discretion, determine an alternative method for awarding any remaining prizes.
