Drive mode selection feature

The Ford Territory has 4 extremely flexible drive modes: “Normal”, “Eco”, “Sport” and “Mountain”, that help you to fully enjoy every journey. The driver can choose from different drive modes, illustrated by a graphic icon right on the central control screen.

Drive modes
  • Eco: The most economical driving mode with all operating functions including engine, entertainment, and air conditioning, being adjusted to optimize power.
  • Normal: A mode for everyday driving. This mode is the perfect balance of fun, comfort and convenience. This is the default mode after each ignition on/off cycle.
  • Sport: For sport driving on normal roads. This mode enhances accelerator response, delivering a more dynamic transmission sound and driving feel, along with a sportier gear-shifting experience.
  • Mountain: For driving on rough terrain. The Terrain (Mountain) mode optimizes accelerator response to give you better control of the vehicle when crossing off-road obstacles. The traction and balance control settings are optimized. Use Terrain (Mountain) mode when driving through sand, loose gravel, mud, or mixed terrain.
To select the driving mode feature

To select the drive modes, you can choose in 2 ways.

  • Click on the menu “Vehicle Settings” on the central screen, then select the category “Vehicle Safety”, where you can choose between 4 drive modes, including Eco, Normal, Sport, and Mountain.
  • The quick “Drive Mode” selection menu can also be accessed by selecting the hidden screen in the central display. Just swipe right on the open bar at the far left of the home screen.

For convenience during manipulation, we recommend that you assign the command to access the "drive mode" option to the custom command button (STAR symbol) on the left key cluster of the steering wheel.

Always use the suitable drive mode for actual conditions to not only ensure a safe and exciting driving experience, but also ensure optimal fuel consumption.
