The rear-view camera activates automatically when the Transit Custom Base is in reverse, providing a 180-degree split view to assist in navigating tight parking spaces and revealing objects that may have been missed.

​Practical features are found throughout the load compartment, including twin 180-degree opening rear barn doors, a kerbside sliding side door, and ultra-bright LED interior lighting, 8 tie-down loops, and partial rubber floor covering.

More practical features to future enhance Transit practicality include, a close assist function for the side load door, a full-width metal bulkhead with a window and a load area protection along the full height of the interior load area walls.

The vehicle architecture was optimised to help achieve an overall height of under two metres, to improve access in height-restricted areas such as multi-storey car parks, garages and underground loading bays.

A larger side load door aperture enhances loading, and the side door features a new integrated access step to make entering the load compartment even easier.​

When you approach lane markings without using the indicator a warning is signalled through the steering wheel, and if you fail to react, Lane-Keeping Aid will apply steering torque to help keep you safely within your marked lane.

The front and rear parking sensors assist you when judging the distance between your vehicle and any obstacles. And when the sensors detect an object, an audible warning is activated, which gets increasingly louder the closer you get.
