Dual-zone automatic air conditioning (AC) system with advanced air filtration function


The Ford Territory is equipped with an automatic dual-zone1 independent climate system with standard rear air vents. There is a high-class air filtration system in accordance with high standards of fine dust and allergens removal. This system will continuously maintain the air quality in the car, ensuring the highest level of cleanliness to protect passengers' health.


Controlling the AC system on the Territory can be done in 3 ways:

  • Set and further adjust the AC system’s main interface on the central touchscreen (12 inches).
  • Adjust via touch buttons located at the screen bottom.
  • Adjust quickly via the button row under the center console.


Set to adjust 2 temperature levels for 2 climate zones of driver and passenger.

  • Setup 1 general fan speed adjustment bar
  • Setup wind direction towards the body or feet (Wind direction icon)
  • On/off button and general cooling system (Power and AC)


Auto mode button (Auto)- This mode is designed to adjust the airflow temperature automatically and quickly in accordance with settings in the cabin. Users do not need to adjust the temperature level or wind mode.

  • Button to toggle on/off air-recirculation mode. (You are recommended to enable air-recirculation mode while driving to reduce moisture build-up and keep the air clean inside the vehicle)
  • Button to start the AC maximum cooling mode (AC max)
  • Button to toggle on/off air filtration to filter out particulates and clean air. (PM:2.5 icon)
  • Dual button, press to return the temperature on the passenger side to the driver side temperature. (DUAL)
  • Button to turn on the windshield drying function.
  • Button to turn on the maximum windshield drying function.
  • Button to turn on the rearview mirror drying function.


Some recommendations for most effective usage of the air conditioning system:

  • To cool the cabin quickly in hot weather, open the windows when you start driving until you feel the hot air coming out of the car and the cool air from the air conditioning vents.
  • Use Auto mode. The system will cool or heat the cabin to your preset temperature as quickly as possible.
